From Los Angeles to Berlin, grab your running shoes, and warm clothing, and get ready to run to a fresher, healthier you.
New Years Race | Los Angeles
If you have a resolution, head on down to L.A. for the resolution 5k, kid run or half-marathon. Frolic or run through downtown L.A. on the Saturday post New Year’s for a nightly run throughout town. The best part is the after party, where celebratory runners party-on-up past the hours of midnight.
New Years Eve Run | Berlin, German
This New Years marks the 38th annual New Years Even run. Runners choose from a 6.3 or 9.9 kilometer run in the snow throughout Grunewald Forest. Also known as the “jelly donut run,” runners are treated to sweet jelly donuts post run.
New Year’s Day 5k Resolution Run / Walk | Lake Placid, New York
This family-friendly event welcomes runners of all levels and ages. Proceeds benefit the American Liver Foundation’s “Run for Research.” The race occurs on New Year Days and is a great way to jumpstart the New Year.
Brazen’s New Years Day | Lake Chabot, California
Join many Californians on New Years Day for a 5k, 10k or half-marathon run. Race takes place at the marina and runners enjoy scenic views of water and forest. The race is proud to exude the annual mega-medal for finishers who run the New Years Eve and day races.
NYD 5k 2014 | Chicago, Illinois
Say hello to the New Year in the Windy City with the 29th annual NYD 5k race. The race commences in Lincoln Park and runs through scenic city and park views. Proceeds benefit the Lake View Citizen’s Council, a local non-profit organization. Runners over 21 are treated to a post-race champagne beverage.
New Year’s Day Dash | Middleton, Wisconsin
The Midwest celebrates the New Year and chilly weather with a nice run through the snow. The 9th annual run takes place on New Years Day with one, two or five mile race options. No other way to celebrate a calorie burn than through the sponsors of Quaker Steak and Lube wings and Capital Brewery Beer. Hope your resolution is not weightloss this 2014.
