New Cruise Ships Set Sail in 2014

Cruise ships are stepping up their amenities and entertainment to provide guests with one-of-a-kind sailing and class. Instead of feasting your eyes at the buffet, drop your jaw in awe while looking outside of the virtual balcony or a bar floating over the sea. Norwegian Cruise Line “The Getaway”Sister ship to the “Breakaway,” the Norwegian Getaway boasts color and flavor of its inspiration, Miami. Cool features include an Aqua park, Sports complex, outdoor boardwalk and the Waterfront. The Aqua Park slides boast the fastest drops at sea. Dining options include the Miami-inspired, Tropicana Room. The Flamingo Bar and Grill and island-theme Sugarcane Mojito Bar spices the ship along with 12 bars on-board. Entertainment runs abundant, including the new GRAMMY experience, which is a jazz and R&B club featuring live performances by GRAMMY-awarded artists. The ship will set sail starting in February.
Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the SeaQuantum physics now hits the sea with something extraordinary and will burst into operation in November. Fans are still waiting announcements, but some are kept secret. But what we know is that the staterooms will have a modular design with inter-connecting features, perfect for families or groups. Inside cabins will have a ”Virtual balcony” to provide guests with a live digital view of what is at sea. Top deck amenities include the North Star, a jewel-shaped capsule flying 300 feet above sea. Princess Cruises’ Regal PrincessIn May get ready for a spectacular ride at sea with the Regal Princess. Explore the SeaWalk and SeaView bar, a glass floor walkway and watering hole, which is levered on the side of the ship, 128 feet above the ocean. Check out the new water and light show, which displays a grand fountain pool display. Or watch a “Movie Under the Stars,” or gamble at the casino, the choice is yours. From pastry shops to gelato ice cream bars, you’ll be sure to check into a sweet deal. Other dining options include the rooftop Horizon Court and Horizon Bistro or the private-dining Chef’s Table Lumiere experience.
Costa Cruise’s Costa DiademaLaunching in October 2014, this mainly Italian-tourist ship will make way with seven restaurants and 15 bars. Game lovers will enjoy a two-deck gaming and laser area. Music lovers can enjoy live sounds from the Country Rock Club. When tired at night spend time in the 4D cinema and 3-deck theatre. Shoppers can roam the market piazza or the 11,840-foot retail shopping complex.
